Words as moss
Saturday 18 June 2011
A moment
I sit embracing sudden pain,
My mother’s brain diminishes,
Gradually, steam flees from cooling tea,
Paroled by wind and still,
Her hot stare remains a world above my eye-line.
Awaiting her reaction, I look to the rain.
